Thingamajig Theatre Company’s children’s division – the Whatchamawhozits — will be presenting an Improv Showcase on March 20 at 2:00pm at the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts.

This spring the kids have been in a class that focuses on improvisation, speech, character development and stage presence. The Whatchamawhozits are kids ranging in age from 7-12 who are certain to delight the audience while displaying their talents. The Improv Showcase will make you laugh and kids will surprise you (and maybe even themselves) with their wit.

With audience participation, the young actors will have to stay on their imaginative toes and carefully follow the twists and turns of their acting partner’s imagination — all the while staying in the maze of Improv Game Rules that apply to each different game.

Tickets to the Showcase are $5 can be purchased at the door. Doors to the Center will open at 1:30 for the show. The kids would love a nice rowdy audience for their Showcase and your attendance would be greatly appreciated.

Following the Improv Showcase, the next project for the Whatchamawhozits will be the summer camp held in July.

Camp includes one to three weeks of professional instruction by Thingamajig’s summer stock actors, directors and choreographers, and a performance of Disney’s Jungle Book… plus a ride on the incredible Center for the Arts float for the Fourth of July Parade… and a theatre night out to see Thingamajig’s Summer performance of Little Mermaid.
