Whachamawhozits
Thingamajig Theatre has presented three Whachamawhozit plays since opening last April. The first was a student written play called “Dream Magic,” the second production of the Disney musical “Jungle Book” was presented by the campers at the three week summer camp and last December the talented kids put on a stage version of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” The Whachamawhozit's Playshop is an exciting and fun workshops during which the children will learn acting skills as they rehearse and perform in a professional theater space. The Whachamawhozit’s schedule follows this pattern: in the spring kids write their own play, in the summer the three week camp builds a 4th of July float and performs a Disney musical and in the fall the kids perform an already adapted piece. Playshop is taught by seasoned actress and director Laura Moore who has performed in and taught children’s theatre all over Colorado. Playshop is open to ages 7 thru 12. Classes typically fill up quickly and space is limited. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first serve basis. Spring Playshop runs February 3 - April 20, 2012 every Friday from 2:00p - 3:30p. Performance dates are April 27 and 28.
