Improv Classes with Lickety-Split
Lickety-Split’s eight-week improvisation class is back! Beginning January 8 and running every Tuesday from 6-9pm, the improv class will focus on scene work and character development for comedy and will culminate in a free public performance on the evening of March 4. This class is for anyone over 18yr or over who wants to have a good time and have some belly laughs. It’s Lickety-Split’s mission is to bring fun and laughter and joy to their audiences and students, and they believe whole-heartedly that anyone can learn to improvise. Class-size is limited to ensure all participants get plenty of experience and feedback. Registration is $250 per person.

Adult Acting Camp with Karisa Bruin
Beginning January 8, Karisa Bruin will teach an acting class at Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts. Karisa was most recently seen in the Thingamajig Theatre Company production of Tiny Beautiful Things at PSCA, and performs regularly with Lickety-Split Comedy, the improv company she started with her husband Scott. Karisa also works as a professor of theatre at Fort Lewis College.For 8 weeks on Wednesday evenings, participants will learn basic acting exercises and get hands-on practice with monologues and scene work. Learn the practical steps that go into crafting a character and giving a compelling and grounded performance through a text and imagination-based approach. The class will require some outside preparation time including memorization and rehearsal with scene partners.
