Beginning January 8, Karisa Bruin will teach an acting class at Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts.
Karisa was most recently seen in the Thingamajig Theatre Company production of Tiny Beautiful Things at PSCA, and performs regularly with Lickety-Split Comedy, the improv company she started with her husband Scott.  Karisa also works as a professor of theatre at Fort Lewis College.
For 8 weeks on Wednesday evenings, participants will learn basic acting exercises and get hands-on practice with monologues and scene work. Learn the practical steps that go into crafting a character and giving a compelling and grounded performance through a text and imagination-based approach. The class will require some outside preparation time including memorization and rehearsal with scene partners.
The class is open to anyone ages 16+ regardless of prior experience. You can sign up for the class here.
