Thingamajig Playwrights Festival
October 15 -26
Headlined by two new plays that haven’t found their way from paper to the stage before, this 12 day intensive theatre adventure will be a great intellectual journey for our festival goers. Two playwrights with beautiful scripts will see their work on stage for the first time and will be working frantically to rewrite and fine tune as they learn more about their scripts by watching them come to life. Festival passes will include admittance into the two initial readings of the plays, a working rehearsal for each play as well as a final staged performance of each, so you can watch the works transform from words on a page to actions on the stage. It also includes a joyful, touching day of local children’s short scripts being performed by the professional actors.
A Very Perry Christmas: A Seasonal Songbook
The chill of winter is in the air but the warmth of the holidays are celebrated as Perry Harper, along with other fabulous entertainers, take the stage to perform your favorite carols and heartwarming holiday songs. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to celebrate the holidays in style!

The Texas Homecoming Revolution of 1995

It’s the Friday before Homecoming in a suburban high school and a scandal emerges… Crystal Andersen has committed an unspeakable act with the Texas flag. In a culture where legacy and tradition often go unquestioned, one student changes the consciousness of her community. This hilarious script, from Thingamajig’s 2018 Playwright Festival, will take the audience for a laugh out loud visit to the stalls of a Texas high school girls bathroom, where all the secrets unfold.
